The Doggy Business Dream Comes True
I started this company because I am a dog lover. Have been all my life, will be all my life. Back in Oregon, I grew up on a farm where my dogs could run and play all day, with and without me. I never had to worry about taking them to a kennel when I was away, or letting them out for a 10 minute walk during work. They lived in the outdoors and they loved it. Fast forward to now, 15 years later, in . . . Los Angeles.
Los Angeles is an amazing city that I want to explore and is a hub for travel throughout California and the world. I soon realized I could no longer leave my dogs at home without me and expect them to have a happy life. The second I came home from work I saw it on their face. Holding it for 10 hours, bored out of their mind, groggy from sleeping all day. That was the defining moment for me. I told myself, right then and there, that I would not force my dogs into a daily existence of unhappiness.
Kennels, daycares and boarding services can be amazing and come in all shapes and sizes. From caged to cage free, indoor and outdoor, pools and waterparks, televisions and constant play time with friends. These services can be great and there is a place for them, even for my dogs. Yet all of them have 1 thing in common: Confinement. Whether a small cage, to a 14,000 sq. foot fenced dog ranch.

My dogs and I grew up on 8 acres – 350,000 sq feet of roaming land. It is just not the same as a square slab of cement, turf or grass that they run back and forth on.
Dogs have memories. I know my dogs get so excited when we finally make it back to my childhood home in Oregon. Before we even make it up the driveway their excitement is palpable, finally jumping out of the open car door and sprinting straight over to the shaving pile, hopping around me as if to say, "Throw me Daddy! I want to fly into that pile of fluff again!"
My goal is to create this environment for dogs in Los Angeles, for LA dogs to experience this freedom, and then expect it consistently. to have a long happy life. I started this business for dog lovers like myself who want to know that their dog is happy while away at work, on vacation or for whatever reason. For both the owner and dog to be completely happy knowing that neither is worried for the others well being.
